Ice Cream Spots in Ankara

Some people prefer to eat ice cream in the summer season to freshen, but some of them do not care about the weather! If you are type two, here is the list of ice cream spots in Ankara.

1-Roko Dondurma

There’s no accounting for taste but Roko has the most delicious ice cream I have ever eaten in Ankara. Roko has lots of regulars, it is always crowded. “Rokella” and “çıtır limon” are my favorites. Do not forget to try the cones with chocolate sauce and nut.

2- Bafra Balkaymak Dondurmacısı

This spot is really famous in Bafra, Samsun and recently opened a new store in Ankara. They serve rose shaped ice cream. It would be better if there were more tastes but it is worth to try!

3- Atatürk Orman Çiftliği

Atatürk Orman Çiftliği is really special for Ankara people. It has wonderful vanilla flavoured ice cream. One can find it in supermarkets but you should taste it in its original place.

4- Gelato Ice Caffe

I am not sure that this place serve real Italian gelato but blueberry and mint flavoured ones are so delicious. Do not forget to get the cone with sauce and nuts.

5- Sim Dondurma

If you follow the smell of cone while walking in 7th Street in Bahçelievler, you will reach Sim Dondurma. This place has nothing special with taste but one should try it for fresh cones.

6- Meto Dondurma

Meto has lots of regulars too. It is famous for its cinnamon&fig flavoured ice cream.

7- Vardaroma

Vardaroma is very close to Roko Dondurma. It serves ice cream since 1950. Ice cream is delicious but there should be more flavours. You can try “Irish coffee”.
